Tempel Group is proud to announce its participation in Telefónica's 14th Global Energy and Climate Change Workshop, which will be held this year in São Paulo, Brazil. This annual event brings together leaders of the energy transformation at Telefónica and leading partner companies in this field.

The main purpose of this event is to take advantage of opportunities in the field of energy and climate change, driving innovation to reduce Telefónica's energy consumption and carbon reduction globally. During this workshop, the latest initiatives in energy efficiency and renewable energies are presented and shared. In addition, it becomes the ideal forum for analyzing and establishing new challenges, bringing together key areas of the company, such as network infrastructure, finance, procurement and sustainability.

The event attracts more than 250 participants from all the countries in which Telefónica operates. After 14 years of successful editions, we can say that Telefónica's Global Energy and Climate Change Workshop has established itself as a key event for promoting a low-carbon economy in the company.

Pedro Peña, the company's CEO, expressed his enthusiasm for Tempel Group's participation in this event: "We are committed to driving sustainable solutions and reducing our carbon footprint. Participating in Telefónica's Global Energy and Climate Change Workshop is a key opportunity to collaborate with industry leaders and advance our sustainability goals."

Tempel Group has been an outstanding participant in Telefónica Workshops for several years. In 2019, the team led by Josep Antoni Sánchez, CTO of Tempel Group, won the Technological Innovation Award in the X edition, thanks to a project for Telefónica Chile. This project focused on creating a structure that houses 48 V lithium battery modules, designed to be easily transportable and equipped with connection boxes and electrical protections. Last year, Óscar Landínez, from Tempel Group Colombia, presented a lecture on the migration and replacement of VRLA lead battery banks with LFP lithium bank technology.
